Dare to Dream
I started playing drums when I was nine. I loved every second of it, even practicing. I would listen to music on the radio or old cassettes, pick out the drum parts and memorize them. I would dream of someday playing the drums on a big stage with a band. I even thought about what it would be like to write my own "thank yous" and to be in a photo shoot. I was young and the only thing that drove me toward wanting to be in a band was a love for drumming.
Bubba the Bus broke down. UPDATE
Bus Update: Bubba the bus shut down at 4am about 90 miles away from Mobile, AL on I65 on our way back to Nashville last night. Winter Jam Tour Spectacular sends our busses in a pack so the guys from Royal Tailor and Sidewalk Prophets split up and rode home with the other two busses.
A wrecker came at 6am and got the bus running long
Love, Love, Love and Winter Jam 2013
Coming to Winter Jam 2012-13? We're playing a brand new song called "Love, Love, Love". Check out the video attached to this blog and be ready to sing with us during Winter Jam 2013!
Summertime News - an update from Ben
Time just keeps on moving by and we are continually honored to travel the country and see how God is moving. This summer has been one of the busiest on record for us. In the month of July alone we were gone 23 days. Yeah, that is a pretty rough schedule but the stories we hear and the memories we make help to comfort the sacrifices we are making back home in Nashville.

I Apologize (blog from Ben)
A few years back, right after Carie and moved to Nashville I found myself up later than usual. The clock was sitting somewhere safely between 1 and 2am. Carie was sleeping and I was sitting on the world's most uncomfortable couch (anyone who has had the displeasure of sitting in it would agree).
Fatherhood
Fatherhood has changed me.
Sure, I realize that is an obvious statement. Clearly, I went from not being a dad, to being a dad; but it’s much more involved than that. It has helped me to get past myself. I’m convinced that each and every sin committed in life is founded in the elevation of the ‘self’ over others, and especially God. When Christ calls us to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31), He has no doubt that we love ourselves. This is why loving God and loving others is considered ‘the Greatest Commandment,’ because it takes us above our natural tendency to simply live life each day for ourselves. Having said that, fatherhood hasn’t taken away this daily struggle, but it certainly has helped it. When my son was born last August I was instantaneously in love. I knew that his survival was entirely dependent on my wife and I. As soon as I felt this responsibility, my attitudes, ambitions, and aspirations began to be transformed.
Another Tour Under Our Belt
It was short. It was sweet and I thought it would be nice to take a moment and say thanks to everyone who came out to the Sidewalk Prophets/Josh Wilson spring tour. From the fields of Kansas to the Great Lakes of Michigan we consider the tour to be an overwhelming success. I know that we created a lot of memories on the road and hopefully those of you who came to a show had some special moments that you’ll remember as life continues to progress. As a band that believes in the Gospel of Jesus Christ there are a couple ways we feel like our gifts in music are best utilized. 1.
How to Make Good TV w/ the Sidewalk Prophets...
We had the chance to visit Fox 17 in Nashville to perform and talk on-air about our new album "Live Like That". (Availble Here) Of course, we can't visit a television station without attempting to have a little fun. Here are some photos and videos from our visit. Hope you enjoy!
