We are excited to officially announce that Sidewalk Prophets will be on the 2010 Winter Jam Tour! We will be visiting over 40 cities all in our wonderful, cramped and cozy van (named Van “GO” because it’s a masterpiece). Keep checking the site for details on the cities and dates. We will let you know as soon as we find out. The lineup is going to be stellar and we are sure to have a lot of good times, great worship and little sleep. It is such an awesome adventure we are about to embark upon, and we can’t wait to see you out there on the road. Let’s Winter Jam like you have never Winter Jammed before!

We're on the Kansas turnpike currently heading from Oklahoma City to Kansas City. Winter Jam has been an amazing experience so far. We've made so many new friends and created so many memories - it's truly awesome!

I feel like Kansas gets a bad wrap so I wanted to compile a list of resasons I am thankful for Kansas (I know that Kansas City is both in MO, and KS but since we're on this turnpike I am speaking specifically to Kansas).

1. Straight, flat roads for miles on end (it's great for the Vango mileage!)
2. Lots of time to reflect...I don't think we've seen a town for a couple hours.
3. There are a lot of fences (at least that is all I See right now and fences can't be bad, can they?)
4. Lots of sky. Any time you can see the sky from end to end, that is awesome!
5. So this list was a lot harder to make than I thought...if you want to add to the list - please do!

Welp, back to the plains! Kansas City..see ya tonight!

It's 8:48 CST and we managed to make good time on the road from Augusta, GA here to Mobile, AL this morning. This is our first time in Mobile and the weather isn't quite what we expected. We drove through a bit a sleet and a good hour of snow! The good news is that we got to the arena safely. Usually when most of the guys are tired Dave takes the wheel. He's a true night-owl. When he gets extremely tired the first music to hit his ipod is Disney songs. Needless to say, I woke up to the sounds of "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast and "Part of Your World" from the Little Mermaid. Nothing soothes the soul like classic Disney songs!

The Mitchell Center is stellar! We beat all of the tour buses and trucks today and got our stuff loaded in before anyone else showed up. We also got breakfast before everyone else too! Good food, good friends, good times. I forgot to mention that Dave is still sleeping in the back of the van. He's a trooper and we probably won't see him again until lunch rolls around.

More updates soon!

What is the "Vango" Tour?
First of all, Vango is the name of our van! It's big, blue, and
beastly. This winter/spring we (Sidewalk Prophets) are
scheduled to tour the entire country. Over the span of 4 months we
will be traveling to over 60 cities. If you're new to the Sidewalk
Prophets then there are a few things we'd like you to know.

1. We love Jesus.
2. We love people.
3. We love music.

The "Vango" tour is specifically designed for us to get a chance to
meet all of you! Friends are what makes being on the road so long
worth it so we're making every effort we can to make new friends.
Here is how it works. Check out the tour dates section on
www.sidewalkprophets.com/vango - find the date that is closest to you.
When you come to the show that date try to get to the
venue as early as possible and look for "Vango". At 3pm in most
cities the Vango experience will be in full effect. We'll be
having a ton of fun doing stuff like; launching t-shirts in to the
crowd, giving away free stuff via our awesome prize-wheel, and much much more!

Oh yeah, one more thing! You can help be a part of the "Vango
Tour". If you plan on attending any of the dates coming up. You
can sign-up
here!
We'll take all the help we can get! Thanks for being so
cool. We'll plan on seeing you during the inaugural "Vango
Tour"!!!

Blessings,
SWP

We had an amazing time in Dallas on Saturday and racked up a ton of van miles. We drove 1500 miles in just about 24 hours. Though busy, we did manage to take great photos like the one above. Up next we have a couple awesome events! We hope to see YOU there!

Dec 16 / Alma, MI / Central Michigan Youth For Christ
Dec 18 / Longwood, FL / Club Remnant

Check the tour dates section for more info! Merry Christmas!

What's up everyone!? We're getting ready to hit the road early tomorrow morning and head to the Firewheel Towncenter in Garland. Our good friends @ KLTY in Dallas invited us to play a mini Christmas concert. We'll be playing some classic songs as well as some tunes from our new album "These Simple Truths"! It's going to be a good time. Bring the family....we'll have a blast.
