Band Blogs
An Update of Proverbial Proportions.
It's December 5th. WOW! First thing is first, let us apologize for our lack of blogging. We have been so busy and it seems like the schedule is getting more and more full as we type. This past year has been a blessing beyond our comprehension. When we say blessing, we just don't mean all the great things that have happened. We mean all of the ups, downs, failures, successes, joys, and pains. Why are these moments a blessing? Because they provide a prime opportunity to realize that we're completely and utterly helpless without the love of our Savior. May each moment we trip up and fall remind us that our ability to get back up again and press on can only be merited to the undying love of our Father!
This week starts preparation for winter and spring touring! For those of you that missed the memo. We'll be heading on with the 2010 Winter Jam Tour! We also have some new tour news coming VERY SOON! If you haven't had a chance yet...text SWP to 50505 and you can be among the first to hear about all of our new tour dates, as well as other breaking news.
This upcoming week we start some serious rehearsing! If you're a fan of guitar solos, back flips, pyrotechnics, worship, or good times we'll be sure to have at least half of these things happen during our set.

We are excited to officially announce that Sidewalk Prophets will be on the 2010 Winter Jam Tour! We will be visiting over 40 cities all in our wonderful, cramped and cozy van (named Van “GO” because it’s a masterpiece). Keep checking the site for details on the cities and dates. We will let you know as soon as we find out. The lineup is going to be stellar and we are sure to have a lot of good times, great worship and little sleep. It is such an awesome adventure we are about to embark upon, and we can’t wait to see you out there on the road. Let’s Winter Jam like you have never Winter Jammed before!

Life Behind the Wheel - A Visual Journey
I have been trying to get photos from the road and have been reluctant to upload them. Here are a few with descriptions. It's hard to drive and take photos but I have done it while maintaining 100 percent safety.
Atlanta Traffic! (this photo gives me recurring nightmares...ATL gives me nightmares!)

Sweet Dude on His Bike. (cool looking dudes like this guy are rare finds. Luckily my blackberry was locked, loaded, and ready to capture!)

Florida Thoughts From Dave...
Here we are once again in Florida, and what a great trip it has been thus far. Though the humidity lingers heavy and harsh, the palm trees are a wonderful sight. We are meeting lots of new friends and hanging out with old ones, and all the while we are utilizing this amazing gift that God has given us, music.
Just a week ago, I was talking to a friend, and he said something that really saddened me. He said, “the older I get the less important music seems to be in my life.” He described how that in high school and college music filled the majority of his day. His mood was set and passions formed by the melodies and lyrics that filled the air. And now, many years later, music just seemed like something that happened around him that he would stop and hear if time allowed.
On The Road Again...
It's 6:38AM CST and I'm doing the dishes for my wife before we embark on a couple week trip. I'm an early riser and get most of my chores done by the time "normal" people wake up. It's been absolutely amazing seeing the response to "These Simple Truths". If you bought it, downloaded it, or borrowed and plan to buy a copy - we want to thank you!
It's amazing to look back on the last 8 years and see how every event that occurred whether it was super joyous or devastatingly tragic has been completely and utterly in the control of a loving God. We pray to remain faithful and continue using the gifts we've been given to bring honor and glory to Him!
FLORIDA HERE WE COME!
Rock the Universe
The summer is ending, and I find myself getting more excited each and every day. I vividly remember when September signaled the end of fun and the beginning of another long school-year filled with improper equations, grammatical mistakes, and a general sense of boredom. But this year is completely different.
Crazy Summer
Hey everyone! We hope that your summer is amazing. For us personally…this might be the craziest summer we’ve experienced in a while. If you’ve been following us on Twitter (@swprophets) or via our facebook music page…then you’ve been able to read a little about what we’ve been up to.
