Halfway in to one of the most unique tours of 2015, Fervent Records and Dove Award winning artist, Sidewalk Prophets, has sold-out 14 of 18 shows on their current Great Big Family Room tour. The unconventional tour, which has covered 8,000 miles and made its way to 11 states has several components built in to the overall experience with the goal of connecting with fans and concert-goers as personally and authentically as possible.

“Our hope is that each person who comes to this tour leaves feeling like they are loved, that they have a purpose and that they are a vitally important part of our family," says lead vocalist Dave Frey.

“So far, we’ve personally greeted and ushered in 10,000 concert-goers and handed out over 10,000 bags of Groovy Pop Popcorn (,” adds band member Ben McDonald.

In addition to greeting guests at the door, the band is also engaging with fans in a VIP Pizza Party, presented by

“So far, the tour has been an intimate, yet raucous celebration,” Dave continues. “I seriously haven't had as much fun on stage in my life. Interacting before the show with pizza party goers, inviting all into the family room and having a blast all night long, it feels like a get together with our closest friends.”

That sentiment is being shared by concert-goers and critics alike.

Mary Farrell of New Lenox, Illinois was greeted at the door by the band. "It was a very nice touch," says Farrell, admitting she didn't even realize it was the band at first. "It's not something you're used to--seeing the band before the show."

In a concert review on, Kris Pasquini writes,"I’m never sure what to expect from an acoustic show, but this one far surpassed my imagination. While I liked Sidewalk Prophets music before, I now feel like I better know the band and more of what they’re about.”

Sidewalk is not only interacting with the audience before and after the show; the concert itself is veritably a dialogue between the band and the audience. Between sharing new music from their forthcoming album (TBA) and discussing the work of the Mocha Club (, a non-profit organization currently raising funds for the Congo, the band encourages the audience to engage in every aspect of the experience. Thus far, 350 concert-goers have joined Mocha Club to aid the effort.

Ticket prices begin at $10 with various add-ons available. Tickets are available online only or General Admission tickets may be purchased at the door on show days. Learn more and purchase tickets here:

In two weeks time we found out that we would need 29,000 dollars to keep "Bubba" our bus on the road.  Fans have been consistently writing in for a fundraising campaign to begin.  Below is the campaign.  You will notice our goal currently tilts at 17,000 dollars.  As we receive more donations via mail etc we will lower the tilt on this project.  Spread the word-only 25 days to meet the goal.  Currently we are at 6 percent raised.  Roughly 15,800 to go.  We don't expect you to donate and if you can't we totally understand.  You can help us out by posting the  campaign link on your facebook or twitter and for sure by praying for us as we work to get safely back on the road.  Thanks everyone!

Many of you have heard or read about our recent bus breakdown.  Our bus has been an awesome vehicle.  It has gone 2 years without any major problems which has been a huge blessing.  With time and miles any most vehicles will need repair.  We just found out that this repair is going to be pretty costly.  Because this repair requires so much labor the cost is going to be around 17,000.00 dollars.   Some of you have emailed and messaged us about helping to get the bus back on the road.  If you wish to help you can just click on the donate button below.  We're working hard to get the bus back on the road so we can be in Miami in time to join the K-love cruise.  Your contninued prayers are very much appreciated.  We'll keep you posted.

Checks can be written to Sidewalk Prophets and sent to:

Martin, Allbee & Associates, LLC P.O. Box 128287

1605 17th Avenue South Nashville, TN 37212

please note "bus repair donation" on check.

We announced earlier this week that Shaun is stepping down as our lead guitar player which is bittersweet news.  We're glad to have spent the last 4 years on the road with him and we're also excited for what God has in store for him next.

With Shaun moving on that leaves us with an open spot on our roster.  We're going to hold open on-line auditions for any of you that wish to apply.  If you're interested and think you have what it takes please follow the steps below.

What we're looking for:  We're looking for someone who has a heart for people following Christ and a passion for serving.  We'd love to have someone who can not only play lead guitar but multiple instruments as well as someone who can sing.

Please follow these instructions to submit your on-line audition.

1.  Email us a link to a youtube video (or whatever website that allows video) of you playing guitar along with one of our songs.

2.  Send us a link to a video of you singing the chorus of a Sidewalk Prophets song acapella.

3.  If you have any other videos of you performing or playing different instruments feel free to send those as well.

4.  Answer the following questions and then email your video links and answers to

1.  Name

2.  Age

3.  City, State

4.  Are you involved with a home church? If so, where?

5.  Have you ever toured extensively?  If so, with which artist?

6.  Favorite movie

8.  Anything else you want us to know?

The deadline for submission is Jan. 15, 2014.  We'll look forward to hearing from all of you.
